LIONS CLUB OF RANAGHAT WEST
Lions Club of Ranaghat West is ruled by the Standard Club Constitution framed by the International Association of Lions Clubs. The Club has got the power to amend some Sections of the Constitution and our Club amends some Sections whenever those are felt necessary.
The Members of the Club elect a Board of Directors in its Annual Club Conference every year and this Board, in which the President is the Chief Executive, governs the Club Administration for a period of one year. The Secretary and the Treasurer are the main functionaries of the Club and they help the Administration in discharging its necessary jobs.One Board Meeting and one Regular (General) Meeting are held every month to take necessary decisions on the functioning of the Club and the fiscal year of the Club is July-June.
RANAGHAT LIONS TRUST
With the aim of spreading the message and activities of Social Service, the Club has constituted the Ranaghat Lions Trust from within its Members. The Trust is responsible for all the Service Activities of the Club and the management of the properties.
The Trust is constituted in the Annual Club Conference of the Lions Club of Ranaghat West as follows :
(a) Four Permanent Trustees
(b) The President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Club are the ex-officio President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Trust for one year
(c) One third of six other Nominated Trustees are elected every year for a term of three years.
The Trust performs its duties of Social Service through the Chairperson of every Service Wing and a Sub Committee under him. At least one Meeting of the Trust is held every month and the fiscal year of the Trust is July- June.
LEO CLUB OF RANAGHAT
The Lions Club of Ranaghat West has its separate youth wing with some young, energetic and benevolent boys and girls aged below 25 years and this wing is called Leo Club. At present, we have two Leo Clubs namely Leo Club of Ranaghat Gaurav and Leo Club of Ranaghat Champ. These Leo Clubs are ruled by the Standard Leo Club Constitution of the International Association of Lions Clubs. The Administration of these Leo Clubs is same as the Lions Club of Ranaghat West. The functions of these Leo Clubs are to extend their helping hands to all the Projects and Programmes of the Lions Club of Ranaghat West besides holding their own programmes.
